According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, there is a buttock procedure performed every 30 minutes of every day, on average! Brazilian butt lift is one type of buttock procedure that uses a patient’s own fat to naturally augment and shape the buttocks.
Are you interested in this modern butt augmentation procedure? Read on as Dr. Lloyd Landsman explains what Brazilian butt lift can and cannot do.
What Brazilian Butt Lift Can Do
Add volume and shape to the buttocks. Brazilian butt lift is a great choice if you want to add volume and projection to a flat or small buttocks. When fat is injected into the upper quadrants of the buttocks, the procedure can also create a subtle lift.
Reduce unwanted fat. Brazilian butt lift creates a fuller and shapelier buttocks by using unwanted pockets of fat from one or more body areas. For this reason, Brazilian butt lift is often referred to as a “2-in-1” procedure. The donor fat can be taken from the hips, thighs, abdomen, waist and other body areas.
Create more attractive body curves. Dr. Landsman is very strategic when selecting which body areas he uses to obtain donor fat. He can remove fat from the abdomen to flatten the belly. Or, he can remove fat from the waist to create a more hourglass-shaped figure. In any case, the result is more flattering body contours.
Natural-looking results. Modern butt implants are designed to look and feel like natural tissue, but they can never replace the real thing. Brazilian butt lift enhances the derriere with the patient’s own natural tissue, so the results appear and feel completely natural.
What Brazilian Butt Lift Cannot Do
Eliminate excess skin. Unlike traditional butt lift, Brazilian butt lift does not remove loose skin on the buttocks. Thus, ideal patients should have good skin tone in the buttocks. If you have excess skin, traditional butt lift surgery may be a better option.
Enhance the buttocks without donor fat. Brazilian butt lift relies on the use of donor fat. If you are very lean, you may not have enough fat to harvest. If this is the case, you may be a better candidate for butt augmentation with implants.
