Mommy Makeover Procedure Details
A mommy makeover begins with anesthesia being administered to ensure your comfort. You will likely have the decision of either IV sedation or general anesthesia, and Dr. Landsman will recommend the best choice for you.
Once the anesthesia has taken effect, the procedure will begin. What occurs during the procedure depends on what combination of treatments you’re having done.
If you’re having a breast augmentation, an incision will be made along the breast, the implant will be placed above or below the pectoral muscle, and then the incision will be closed.
If you’re having liposuction done as part of your mommy makeover, an incision will be made in the treatment area. Next, a cannula will be used to loosen up the fat, and then suction will be administered to remove the excess fat.

As you start your recovery process, gauze or bandages will be applied to your incisions. You will also be given compression garments to control swelling and a support bra if you had breast surgery.
